This website is operated by Mercer Outsourcing (Australia) Pty Ltd (MOAPL) ABN 83 068 908 912 (Mercer) as administrator of various superannuation funds to Advisers, Employers or Fund staff ("Authorised users") authorised to access:

  • Client / employee / member ("Members") information; and/or
  • Fund-level reporting; and/or
  • Other services as agreed and provided from time to time.
The information accessible through this website is made available to persons authorised by Mercer and either the trustee or Member of the relevant superannuation fund.

This Privacy Statement ("Statement") describes how Mercer collects and handles information about you through this website. This Statement does not apply to the practices of companies that Mercer does not own or control, to persons it does not employ, or to websites it does not own or operate.

By accessing, browsing, or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and have accepted the practices described in this Statement. Mercer abides by the National Privacy Principals ("NPPs") under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and has adopted a Privacy Policy which sets out in more detail the way in which it handles personal information.

Website use

Mercer provides different levels of access to information through this website which are controlled by User IDs.

Depending on your level of access, you can use this website to -

  1. access information concerning superannuation or pension account details of Members; and/or
  2. access other information concerning superannuation funds administered by Mercer, where you have received authority to view such information; and/or
  3. access employer related services through the "Employer Online" functionality such as:
    • Transfer superannuation related data to Mercer; and
    • Transfer monies to relevant superannuation funds or other funds as authorised by your employees; and
    • Access some of the information as notified by you to Mercer and stored by Mercer concerning the superannuation fund ("Your Information"); and
    • Notify Mercer of any changes to Your Information.

Information Mercer Collects

Mercer records information when you access this website in order to analyse usage patterns, improve services and satisfy audit, compliance and security requirements

Information we collect and monitor includes:

  • Security information about yourself that you have provided to us 
  • Date and time of access 
  • Information that you access 
  • Number of incorrect login attempts

We obtain most of the information directly from you through your application to use the website and from information provided by you to our Helpline. We may also obtain information from other sources. In the case of your use of "Employer Online" functionality, the information we collect may include a Member's name, address, date of birth, gender, occupation, health information, salary, tax file number, the amount of contributions to a fund and related information.

If you choose not to provide the information we need to provide you with access to information on this website, we may not be able to provide you with such access.

We may ask you for other information voluntarily from time to time (for example, through market research or surveys) to enable us to improve our service or consider the wider needs of our authorised users.

Parts of this Site use cookie files to provide you with a unique session identification whilst using the Site. A Cookie is a small text file that a web site stores on your computer to identify you during a visit. This session identification is used to ensure accurate processing on the site, but does not contain any information that identifies you personally. The cookie is overwritten each time you re log onto the site.   1. Agents and Service Providers We sometimes employ or contract with other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf, such as printing and sending member information material. They have access to only such information about Users as is needed to perform their functions, but may not use any of this information for other purposes.
  2. Legal Matters Mercer and other Mercer Companies may disclose any personal information about you or your use of the Site, or any other information that you submit if Mercer or such other Mercer Company has a good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
    • protect and defend the rights, property, or safety of any Mercer Company or its affiliates, customers, or suppliers, other users of this Site, or the public;
    • enforce the Terms and Conditions; or
    • respond to claims that any content violates the rights of third parties.
    We may also disclose information as we deem necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process, contractual obligations or governmental request.
  3. Your Instructions We may share any information you submit on or to the Site when we have your consent to do so or when we need to share it to provide the information or service you or your employer have requested.

Mercer does aggregate personally identifiable information and may disclose aggregated information to third parties for marketing and promotional purposes. However, in these situations, we do not disclose to these entities any information that could be used to identify you.

Mercer places a high priority on the security of information which we collect from you. The information you enter on the website, including your User ID and Personal Identification Number ("Password"), are stored securely by Mercer on its data servers. Mercer is committed to providing reasonable and appropriate security controls to protect the information that we collect from you and this website and its information against foreseeable hazards. You must maintain the confidentiality of your User ID and Password, and you are responsible for restricting unauthorized access to your computer.

Storage and Access of Information

You can access your personal information by contacting Mercer's Privacy Officer. A fee may apply. If the information held by Mercer is inaccurate, incomplete or not up to date, you may request Mercer to correct the information. There may be some circumstances in which Mercer is entitled to deny you access to information. The Privacy Officer will advise if any if these circumstances apply. Mercer will take reasonable steps to ensure any information it holds about you is accurate, complete and up to date. You may review, correct or update the information that Mercer maintains about you. Please contact Mercer whenever there is a change to the personal information we hold about you or as soon as you are aware that the details we hold about you are not entirely accurate. If you ask to delete or change information on the system, Mercer may retain such information for a period in its back up systems as a precaution against system failures. Mercer may also retain such information for longer periods as required by law, contract or auditing requirements.
